Yesterday I received notification in my inbox, from Electric Violin Shop, that Yamaha has come out with a new electric violin, the YEV Pro! (in 4-string or 5-string version). Previously in Electric Violin Worship, I introduced my two YEV electric violins and talked about how I enjoyed playing them. The YEV has been my 2nd favorite electric violin to play, after my Jordan 6-String. Now, with the Pro version out, I do want to try playing this new electric violin and hear what it sounds like!
Here is quick summary on what is new with the YEV Pro. It is supposedly louder, better sounding, and lighter (less weight) than the original YEV. Also, it comes with better tuning pegs. I would love to try it out just to see how light it is. As of right now, I don’t really need a new electric violin. Plus, if I get the YEV Pro, what would I do with my old YEVs? I may have to wait for my children to grow up and give the old YEVs to them. I won’t sell my old YEVs.
